Adventure sport is kind of sport which can be regarded as a blend of courage, risk, and technique. Adventure sports leads one to hold his breath with fear of loosing life at any mistake but then also the attraction of people do not gets less and they are totally fascinated towards adventure sports.

Apart from the renowned games, Chennai also offers some games which require courage and dare to play those games. These are the games in which one can feel the excitement and passion at every step.

Chennai has well developed and equipped clubs encouraging the daring people to enjoy the excitement and passion hidden in some sports which require courage and dare to play those games. To name few are listed below:

Adventure Zone: This is club located at 8, 2nd Link Street, Indira Nagar, offers the facility of rock climbing and mountaineering. The courses offered by the club are open for both trained and untrained players without any age boundation. However, the untrained players are given proper training in this club. Apart from rock climbing and mountaineering the other facilities offered at this club.

Wildertails Adventure Club: With an objective of attracting and bringing the nature lovers close to nature this club was established in April 1997. Located at 26, Thirunarayane Avenue (Opposite New Avadi Road) this club offers the facility of trekking camps in the valleys of Himalayas.  The other activities organized by this club are walking through jungle area, cycling treks.


Water Sports : Chennai located at the coastal boundary is considered as a heaven for the water loving sports persons. There are two major clubs encouraging and offering water sports activities to the visitors and the localities. The Tarasha Water Sports club offers the facilities of Skiing, Wake Boarding , Knee Boarding Kayaking, Speed Boat Rides, Banana Boat Rides, Double Tube Rides and Para-sailing.

Another club that offers the facility of water sports is Muttukadu Boat House launched by the Government of Tamil Nadu to encourage tourism in the city. One can enjoy the facility of boating and wind surfing provided by the club. Apart from this the club also organizes the boating competition and training camps for the water sport lovers.
