Chennai Automobile Industry

Chennai and the automobile industry are synonymous to each other. Almost all the well known automobile companies have an industrial base in Chennai. Major automotive manufactures in Chennai include Ashok Leyland, Renault, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Yamaha, BMW, Hindustan Motors, Daimler, TAFE Tractors, Ford, Royal Enfield etc.

Automotive Corridor extends from Gummidipoondi (50 kms. North of Chennai) to Maraimalai Nagar (35 kms. South of Chennai), passing through Tiruvallur, Sriperumbudur and Oragadam.
